1. Horse keeping Focus Group Starting Soon!
Horse SA is inviting horse owners who manage a property to join in a friendly, informal focus group. This group will meet four times during 2008 to look at sharing information around horse keeping and land management. Commencing at Echunga on May 15th, 7.30 pm. The remaining three field days will be held by group arrangement. The HorsesLandWater Action Planner & Management Guideline will be used as resources. Participants will be invited to complete a pre & post focus group survey and encouraged to complete a Property Management Plan during the year. Participants must reside within the Adelaide & Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board Region. Cost: FREE Registrations: Horse SA Ph. HorsesLandWater Property Management Planning Course This 14 hr course will help people who manage a horse property to put together an individualised property management plan to suit you and your horses! Venue: “The Ranges” Hall (Cnr. Penny's Hill Rd & Range Road - above Mc Laren Vale) Course dates are June 5th, 8th & 12th 2008. The course is open to people from any location who are interested in horse keeping and land management. Full course price is $275. If you manage a horse property of more than 3 hectares, as an owner or employee, you may be eligible for a FarmBis subsidy of $179 towards the training, leaving the course price at $99 Registrations: Horse SA Ph.
