Directions Preparation Hay Cubes are best fed soaked, Hay Cubes will absorb a considerable amount of water
Mix at a ratio of 1kg Hay Cubes (dry weight) /3.5litres of water. Hay Cubes can be soaked for as little as 10 mins prior to feeding and are safe to soak for longer periods, such as overnight, without risk of them fermenting. As with the introduction of any new feed Hay Cubes are best introduced over a 7 to 14 days period. Day 1- soak approx 0.25kg cubes and mix well into existing feed. Riders are being advised by council rangers over the phone to remove manure before LEAVING the beach yet are being fined for not picking up each manure IMMEDIATELY. The details of the fine are "Anything that falls from a vehicle" meaning the horse you are riding. I am contesting the legality of this fine and the conflicting information given by council rangers. Showjumping wings - 44 Gallon drums x 20 PLUS optional jumping poles These 44 Gallon drums are hard to get and are an economical way of building various combinations of show jumps, either being used as wings or as fillers. These drums were originally store with car oil and have not been cleaned or used for any other purpose. I have been using them as jump wings for about 5 years for my own training purposes. The jumping poles are in various states of quality, some a bit short and falling apart. Some decent poles can be salvaged though or used as trotting poles.

Moana Beach. Riders received over $300.00 fine for not picking up manure from a car park. This fine was left on the windscreen, before they had returned to their float from the beach ride. They were always intending to pick up their manure before they left the area. (Wet manure being very hard to collect totally). The manure was all cleaned up before leaving the area, including any manure from the beach also. Be careful.

My partner and I recently rescued a darling old girl from interstate who was so emaciated that we thought she would die after we got her home. She had been in a paddock with others and they all were hand fed the occasional tad of hay, but because she was old, the others horses pushed her away from the food and she consequently lost weight and became weaker. Have enclosed a couple of pics of when we brought her home, nearly 3 weeks ago. We really should not have moved her until she had more body weight, but had no choice as she was going to be shot by the owner. She is now putting on weight and is enjoying life again. People must be made to understand that they cannot keep their animals if they can't afford to feed or look after them.
